did a garter border and increased every other right side row. sewed each edge together at corners. followed idea based off log cabin blanket
July 30, 2014: all pieces sewn together using 3-needle bind off. need to weave in all ends and decide on border…
April 19 2014: have successfully put together 7 squares. i had 2 false starts with this part, but now things are looking great! note, don’t try to do it from the center out. also, 3-needle bind off looks better than grafting…i tried grafting thinking it would solve my initial issue and it didn’t look as nice. figured out that i need to put this together in strips:)
Jan 4 2014: only need 3 more squares!!! :)
UPDATE: July 24, 2013: After recounting what I already have, I found one blue done in the wrong needle size:( and I did an extra grashupfer!! :(
SO…I’m ripping out the large blue square to re-knit on the right size needles. As of today, I need 6 more kornblume squares!! I may be able to finish this sooner than I thought!! :)
after toying around with 2 different blanket ideas/options i have finally settled on this one. i hope this one works out better than my previous ideas! :)
