Notes

wound both skeins together to make holding the yarn double easier. cake only weighs 94 g. what’s up with that knitpicks??

hoping that the dark and doubled yarn will make this non-see through and that it will be big enough to cover up while nursing.

followed these mods from shadystroll

mar 20th: i’m getting ready to start the second repeat of the increase section and i have to say, this pattern isn’t written that great…it isn’t terrible, but i wouldn’t recommend it for a beginning lace knitter…you kind of have to be able to figure out what is meant in certain places and know that when you start repeating the increase section, row 1 isn’t entirely accurate…i’m a little disappointed because this is a $5 pattern…if it were free it would be a different story. i hope it comes out the way it should…also, i’m not sure if i’m just dumb or what, but her explanation for a m1 with a twisted stitch threw me way off…so i’m just lifting the bar and knitting it. i also just did a long-tail cast on of 5 stitches…

mar 21: finished 4th repeat of increase section
mar 22: finished 6th repeat of increase section

used this info to help with 2nd short row section

mar 23: finished 1st repeat of 1st short row section
mar 24: finished 2nd repeat of 1st short row section
mar 25: finished 1st repeat of 2nd short row section
mar 25: finished 2nd repeat of 2nd short row section

ugh…starting the decrease section, and it isn’t hard, but…the pattern…it just isn’t like clear enough to warrant spending 5 bucks on.

mar 26: finished 1st decrease section…my 4 stitch edge is crazy wonky…i’m so tempted to frog this but i’m almost done and i figure i will just wear it as a scarf … but i have to say, i feel like i didn’t do that great of a job on this. and there is no way it will be a nursing cover. you can see right through this sucker.

mar 27: finished 2nd decrease section
mar 28: finished 3rd decrease section
mar 29: finished 4th decrease section
mar 29: finished 5th decrease section
mar 30: finished knitting, just need to block.
apr 6: baby max arrived march 31…so this will block Later…:)

Going to frog and maybe make a citron with this held double
