A matching Lottie cardi for Sunnys 12” doll. This fits all of our 12” dolls. Here are my knitting notes:
-CO 36 using longtail with same needles and gauge I used for my daughters sweater.
-2 rows of K2,P2 ribbing
-(ws) Sl 1,K6, pm, K6, pm, K10, pm, K6, pm, K7
-(rs) increase and buttonhole row: Sl 1, k to 2sts until marker k1 f/b, K1, sl m, K 1, K1 f/b…repeat the increase 2sts before and after each marker across until last 4sts, K2tog, yo,K2
-(ws) Sl 1, knit across
-repeat these two rows, omitting the buttonhole portion( repeat one more buttonhole row about 3/4”-1” away from first buttonhole), until stitch count is as follows: right front 12sts, sleeve 16sts, back 20sts, sleeve 16sts, left front 12. End after working a ws row.
- divide sleeves: Sl 1, knit to first marker and remove, put sleeve sts on scrap yarn and remove marker, cast on 2 sts for underarm using backwards loop, knit across back, remove marker, put sleeve sts on scrap yarn, co 2 sts for underarm ising backward loop, remove marker and knit to end. (48 body stitches)
-Sl 1, knit across all rows until piece has 9 ridges from underarm to bottom or desired length
-work sleeves: put held stitches evenly across dp needles,
- starting at underarm, pick up 1st, knit across all sts on dp needles, pick up 1 st at underarm, pm for beginning of round .
-purl all
- knit all
Repeat these two rows ( working a decrease row on a knit round after about an inch as follows: K1, K2tog, knit until last 3sts,K2tog, K1),until sleeve has 7 garter ridges (16sts)
- K2, P2 ribbing for 3 row and bind off in pattern
-Repeat for other sleeve
- weave ends and sew on two 1/2” buttons
