Notes

Made a false start on part one Friday night using PK Cold and ice and HF Genie. The Genie just overwhelmed the lovely light blue (and of course I’d accidentally increased so that I had too many stitches on my needle at the beginning of wedge three). I pulled it out and started it again Saturday Morning with Genie (still obnoxiously loud) paired with PK Magnet and steel attempting to bring dignity to the piece.

I’m liking the knitting so far. Just finding the Genie a bit difficult to appreciate.

5 wedges to go! (putting this down to work on my Candy dish and get my commuter sock past a cable turn).

The Genie is starting to work it’s magic…

About to start the last wedge - 14g remaining… will I have enough? Time will tell…

(edited a little later…)
No it won’t be enough - the forums tell me I’d need about 20g assuming I started with a 100g skein - which I don’t know if I did, I didn’t weigh the skein before or after I wound it (Rookie mistake).

I had already panicked and ordered a second skein of the Genie (curse that evil genie) last week - It’s already on it’s way. I’ll put this piece down till it arrives, I want to alternate the skeins on the last wedge if they are dramatically different (even if they aren’t I should do this anyway).

I’ve seen the second clue. So fun!

Yesterday morning I finished the 2nd clue! New image added to the photos on this project. I had an interview for a new job and finished a clue - a good day!

Frogged today and rescued the yarn for another project. Not in love with the work and have no intention of working on it again. Still like this pattern… will do again some other time, when I find a speckle yarn I like.
