03.07.10 It. Is. Done.

09.02.08 Uh, I’m up to 158 hexagons. But I only have three more days to finish up before we leave, with soup to cook, bread to bake, pestos to grind, laundry to wash and packing to, well, pack. I’m not quite going to get all the hexes done before Saturday, am I?

09.01.08 So much for finishing by the closing ceremonies! At least I’m back on track with 146 hexes complete. I’d really like to finish up the remaining 58 hexes by Friday so I can take them all on vacation and stitch it up, but that might be pushing it. And traveling with my first pair of socks would certainly take up less room than all the blanket… we’ll have to see!

08.10.08 Not sure I’m going to get any hexagons hooked up tonight, as I had to leave town for a few days and I’m a little tired from all the driving. But look how pretty they look all together on the floor!

08.10.08 134… hrmph… had to slow down and do laundry… and the dishes, and make dinner, and put the kids to bed, and, and, and…

08.09.08 129 down, 75 left. Holy cow! I really think I’m going to finish! Maybe I can finish before the Olympics are over!

08.08.08 114 hexagons. 90 more to go!

08.07.08 Woot! 99 hexagons.

08.05.08 Got off to a slow start, but have managed to find a groove. After having only 14 hexes for a few months, I’ve added to the collection and now have seventy seven. SEVENTY SEVEN! I might actually complete this before Christmas 08, which would be great since I am planning on giving it to my mother.

April 08 Wow… so I never thought I’d get into to crochet, but it certainly moves along quickly. It also eats up a tons of yarn! Yikes! I wonder how many skeins I’ll go through before this is all done.

This is my first crochet project ever. Not only did I teach myself how to crochet in order to make this happen, but I also figured out my own pattern.
