3/9/12: Actually, I finished it really quickly, with some major modifications. I did two rows of single crochet around the leg holes. Thor’s neck-to-shoulder area is also apparently larger than expected, because even though the neck and chest measurements were accurate, the area in between was too small. So I turned the sweater into a V-neck, shawl-collared version by not sewing the seam all the way up. I finished it off with a row of single crochet.

3/6/12: Cast on again, even though it’s unlikely Thor will need a sweater anytime soon! I’m still making a small -- I think some pattern modifications may be order. Luckily, Thor and I are in the same place this week, so I can try it on him as I go.

Well -- got it about half done and tried it on Thor. It’s too small. I also wasn’t crazy about how loose my knitting seemed, so I will be starting over with a size large, but smaller needles.
