Notes

2/9/15: We had a break in the weather this afternoon, so I had Dave take a photo of me wearing the shawl. I took a close-up photo just to check exposure, and liked that one, too. It’s the second photo shown.

I went to see Don Quixote at Pacific Northwest Ballet with Julie yesterday, and I wore the shawl, so I was able to show her what I made from the yarn she gave me. She liked it!

2/5/15: Done! Now, if it ever stops raining, I’ll get photos.

1/21/15: My dear friend, Julie, who I have known since first grade, gave me a skein of this great yarn. After a lot of searching for a pattern, I realized that Ripples, the 2013 LYS Tour pattern from Serial Knitters, would be perfect. After a few false starts on the set-up rows, I’m sailing along. I cast this on at the Knitajourney Midwinter Retreat.
