Notes

Done! Unsurprisingly, this was a very quick and easy project. The hardest part was the sewing, which wasn’t difficult once I just followed directions blindly--the pattern doesn’t have any in progress pictures or schematics, so it’s hard to be sure if you’re doing the right thing.

As this bunny is for my baby nephew, I didn’t want to use stuffing for a tail as the pattern called for, nor did I want to do a pom pom that could easily be chewed up. I’d originally planned to leave the bunny tailless, but once I had the bunny stuffed and all sewn up, I realized that…well, it was one seriously wide-assed bunny. There had to be a tail. So I came up with the idea of making a partial pom pom, where I just didn’t cut the yarn at the end…and it actually worked out very well.

I did do a little more sewing than the pattern called for--I sewed the front legs together at the tip, and then sewed them to the head. The head and front legs were sticking out at a bit of a weird angle otherwise, and I like the result.
