I had this idea of making wool covers for my online boutique, that would be cool designs, perhaps little animals and such. I’ve seen them before, but not hand-made (I’m sure they are some, just not in my local stores… the better for me. ;-) )
Nov. 26th: Finished the first version, but the leg opening is a bit small. Could be a tad longer too.
Nov. 27th: Finished the second version. Leg opening and length are now good, but I find it bulky between the legs - i.e. could be narrower. Also, will incorporate some short rows for the bum, to get a better fit.
Nov. 28th: 3rd time’s a charm - it’s a fit! Size Medium is done. Now I will try and size Small & Large, and figure out those snap buttons…
Nov. 30th: Finished what was supposed to be my Small size, but it’s a bit too small… But having a newborn size is also a good idea! :P I’m not missing much, a few sts in width and a few rows in height, so I will update to a small size next. I will go over my chart for large - I probably added too much like I took off too much for the small. I also found a good snap option, and ordered that yesterday, looking forward to getting those. :)
Dec. 5th: Large is finished. I was worried it was a bit large, but it’s only slightly bigger than the medium, which fits my {tiny} daughter perfectly. Which is why I called it Medium - she is 18 mo, but on the smaller side of the scale, so what fits her now would fit most a bit younger. So I guess it’s good to go! Will make the small with my left-over yarns (it will be blue & green rather than solid), and I will have all my 4 samples!
Dec. 9th: Right-o, so all 4 sizes are done. Now I’m just waiting for the snaps to attach them (ignore the pins on the pictures), and I will start working on some actual designs for sale. ^_^
