I have wanted to knit these for ages and last weekend it was time. I grabbed some yarn from deep stash and had the urge to knit up some socks. It’s a yarn I usually use for thick house socks so I was looking for a pattern I could alter to match the different gauge. This pattern is not available (anymore?), guess it was part of a club once, plus the initial pattern is top down but I like to knit my socks toe up - so I would have had to alter it anyway. To cut a long story short I decided to knit from the pattern pics, skip the bobbles (wouldn’t want those anyway) and just give it a go. Looks good so far for a loose lookalike in an equally popping colour. Knitting them both at the same time more or less to have less notes and make sure I do not forget what I did on number one by the time I knit number two.
