I’ve never taken a class or read about design, so it took forever to get the four corners to work right. And since I did it freehand, I figured it out while I was working and never thought to write it down!

Next time I’ll put some reinforcements in the hood. My daughter and her friends ran around with only the hood on, and it’s now a hood and a half! (But kids, please don’t share hats or hoods. Hair bugs. Yuck.) I plan to stitch a ribbon in to keep it from stretching further, and maybe reshape it a little.

But it’s done, and it already survived one machine washing in a sweater bag.
