Notes

For the spring KAL at The Knitting Bee :)

So, thoughts on the pattern - I’m not impressed with the way the mesh isn’t balanced across the sleeves and things; having 3 knit stitches on one and and 1 knit stitch on the other is not fun to try to pick up.

It’d be a 5 star pattern if it was written to keep things even, and I really like the construction and FO, but these kinds of things really frustrate me.

05.17.12 - Whew, it shrank back to reasonable when it dried. I’ll be happier with this when I lose 15 pounds ;)

05.16.12 - Eeep! Blocking seems to have made it gigantic. It’s taking forever to dry, we’ll see what happens when I put it on.

05.15.12 - Done. Gotta block it still, tomorrow.

05.07.12 - Drats, I will have to dip into my third skein after all.

05.06.12 - If you follow the pattern, you also wind up with 1 knit stitch on one end of the sleeves, and 3 on the other end. Plus, the front and back of each sleeve don’t even match each other!

Not sure why the pattern isn’t written to be balanced :(

05.02.12 - split for the arms, yaaay!

04.01.12 - If you follow the pattern as written, the two Knit stitches at the end of the lace pattern actually line up with the purl column from the ribbing… So, if you want that column to be knit stitches all the way to the edge, you should do the ribbing as P2, K2 instead.

Wish I had realized that sooner, but by the time I noticed, I’d gotten further than I cared enough to rip out. If I make a second, I’ll be sure to do this though.

03.30.12 - casting on early, cause I can’t count around my fellow knitters ;) Starting off by doing some algebra to find out how long of a tail I need for a long-tail CO, which is totally my favorite!
