Notes

I started Courie In last week and hopefully it will be a snuggly cardi that will shield me from all of the blasting AC to come this summer.

The pattern calls for a bulky yarn, but I’m using wool-ease thick and quick which is super-bulky. Shockingly, even with the bulkier yarn and larger needles, my gauge swatch was dead-on on the first try. It really pays to swatch, otherwise I would have guessed I needed to adjust needle size or choose a smaller size for the cardigan.

My cardigan will be bulkier/thicker than the pictures in most people’s projects, but that’s cool. I really want it to be like a summer jacket / grandma sweater hybrid.

I plan on adjusting the bottom hemline to make it a little longer in front, and I want to add pockets.

I’ve finished the first sleeve, and am working on the second now. I’m using magic loop instead of DPNs.

The pattern makes perfect sense as written so far - no trouble understanding it.
