I love that this pattern is reversible - neither side is the “right side”. Great for a blanket!

To make the baby sized blanket, I am using a single strand of this aran-weight yarn. I cast on 110 stitches. I plan to make at least 15 rows of “blocks” before working the top band of edging.

The Cascade Cherub yarn is VERY soft. I will buy it again.

The photo shows the other things I put in an auction gift basket: two handknit cotton washcloths (made with Peaches and Cream cotton yarn from Joann’s) and three burpers (purchased cloth diapers which I adorned by sewing purchased ribbon on the seams).

10/18/2009: The silent auction bidding started at $40 and ended at $75. A great contribution to the fund raising event!
