I bought some needles at least a year ago and have never followed through with learning to knit.

My dad, being the Firefly fan that he is, wants a Jayne Cobb hat. There are crochet versions, but I feel like a knit one would be more genuine; Jayne’s hat was knit.

So today, Sunday, June 19, 2011, I have caved and decided to learn to knit. This is my first masterpiece.

For my first knit thing, I think it turned out pretty good.
