i LOVE this project. Even though I just started a few days ago, with a promise that I would only knit 3” a day, and pace myself. . it’s just gorgeous. This is probably my favorite I’ve ever knitted to wear, thus far. . If I keep on this pace, I’ll be done during the second week of December, I consider it an awesome Christmas present to myself. .

12-2-2010 UPDATE. SO. . I’m still in love with this project, been actually keeping to my schedule despite moving and the holidays. STILL I wish it were quicker. Every other row is knit across and makes me wish I’d started the whole thing in continental. C’est La Vie.

12-4-2010 I’ve done some math and come to the conclusion that if I forgo the last several inches of the cowl I can save 62.50. . Because the yarn isn’t wound yet, and if I return that’s how much of a credit I have a the LYS. I’m only 5’4” I don’t think I’ll miss it. I’m on inch 41 now. . everything over 48 is gravy :-)
