Camp Loopy Project #1!
I’m in Cabin #4.
Finished Measurements:
pre-blocking: neck to hem: 16 inches. width: 30 inches.
post-blocking:
neck to hem: 21 inches. width: 44 inches.
Modifications:
None!
I carried my yarn up the side to minimize ends. Not sure I’m happy with it, but oh well.
Timeline:
Camp Loopy was announced, and I had to jump on board!
6/3/11- still need to buy pattern, but creating a placeholder for the project.
6/3/11 - yarn is ordered! I ordered ‘Gothic Rose’ and ‘Gold Experience’
Can’t start the project until 6/15.
6/8 - got my yarn - don’t like the Gold Experience color with the Gothic Rose, so I’m ordering some grey in Loopy Solid instead.
6/9 - nope, cancelled the grey order and ordered another gold color instead.
6/13 - got the Enchanted Knoll Farm Gold Dust Woman, and I like it much better.
6/14 - swatched and definitely like the color combo.
6/15 - casted on at midnight, and got a few rows done before heading to bed.
…later in the morning… I’m up to Row 16.
…later at night (12:30am!) stopped after Row 30 of section 1.
6/16 - got through row 40 of section 1.
6/18 - got through row 51 of section 1.
6/19 - got through row 64 of section 1.
6/20 - finished row 78 - ready to start section 2 chart.
6/21 - finished row 9 of the first chart.
6/22 - finished row 21 of the first chart.
6/23 - finished row 29 - worried I may run out of the gold yarn…
6/25 - found the perfect buttons at Mary Jo’s in Gastonia!
6/27 - stopped in the middle of row 48 on chart 2.
6/30 - got through gold section with just ONE yard of yarn left!! Whew!
7/1 - binding off! Doing a 2 stitch picot bind-off - alternating 3 stitch bind off between with 2 stitch bind off between picots (since the stitch count is a # divisible by 5).
…later - that took me FOREVER! Finally done at 11pm. Blocking…
7/2 - button on - DONE! I LOVE it!!
