Notes

I wanted a sweater with half-patent + garter stitch like this or this one, only somewhat warmer. Sock yarn seemed quite suitable. But sock yarns by different manufacturers behave differently. For instance, this sweater is from Fabel (Drops), full patent stitch, it did not stretch. The current sweater stretched in the length after moistening and blocking, while preserving its width.

Of course I could rip some 15-20 cm in the bottom of the torso and some 5-10 cm from the sleeves. Then I thought perhaps my daughter would like it. It is not height or width but body shape that plays a major role. While this sweater is too long for me, it is suitable for her (and she is not taller than me). Different body shape, different style. She was glad to have the sweater and I have an excuse to make one for myself.
