Purchased un-finished from the estate of Janice Rosema, I believe these pieces were going to end up becoming a log cabin vest. When I received the project, it appeared as follows:
4 squares finished and joined together (into a square)
2 squares unedged
1 square with crochet edging
1 square in process of being edged, with a ball of yarn still attached.
One skein of yarn, as well as a number of balls/partial skeins were included with the project.
I decided when I first heard of this unfinished project that it should become a blanket. I’ll do my best to chronicle the process
3/18/2013 - Photographed pieces as they arrived and spent time admiring Janice’s talents. Continued edging this square where she left off. One round of single crochet and almost half the round of double crochets was already completed. I began edging a second square to be certain I could match the gauge/sizing of her crochet, and to also be sure I was turning corners, etc. the same way she did on the other pieces. This project will move slowly as I enjoy each stitch and remember to appreciate the time I’m given to spend with others.
