I made thumb gusset:
On palm round 2 I increased a stitch on both sides of other purl column. The increased stitches I purled. I made increases every 3rd round altogether 6 times. After last increase round I knitted one more round and then left the stitches of thumb gusset (14 s) waiting and cast on 2 stitches. I purled those casted on stitches.

On palm side I decreased two stitches from the cables of the cuff, when I stopped to knit them.
