I plan to make this one without the initial (like my first) but will add some striping for visual interest.

2012-11-20: To get the fading stripe effect, I knit as follows: 16 rows red, 1 row blue, 8 rows red, 2 rows blue, 4 rows red, 4 rows blue, 2 rows red, 8 rows blue, 1 row red, the rest of the vest blue.
