A new start on the babette. A wedding gift, needs to be completed by October. Yarn ordered 12/3/11. Yarn arrived 23/3/11, got started right away.

Adaptions to original babette blanket are;
using 8 colours, doing 2 rounds of each colour in random order (not putting 2 of the same colour next to eachother in same square)
4 round squares are grannys
8 rounds are features (sunburst pattern)

29/3/11 up to section 4 also completed the other 12 rounder.
8/6/11 crocheted up to section 7 now. Getting annoyed with the fact that I cannot get a true colour of the light green on camera, its really not that yellow, more lime/fluro. Looks awesome.

20/8/11 Exciting progress report!! Im finishing my last square today!! Its been a long time coming. So now I just have to weave in ends, join sections 6-10 together, crochet an edging…… then Im done. Eeek, when I put it like that it only sounds like Im about 1/2 way through.
Better keep going. 5 weeks till wedding.

1/9/11 I made another section, which extended it approx 14 more rounds off the one edge.(the largest square being another 12 rounder) and all the squares are now stitched into panels. If I pulled myself away from the computer right now and made better use of my time I could have a few rounds of the border done by the end of the day, wouldnt that be awesome?!
4 weeks till wedding.

10/9/11- 9 of the 12 rounds of border done. Im not thrilled with such a large border- but there is NO WAY Im frogging any. Sooo close to being done now!
3 weeks till wedding.

19/9/11 - 2 weeks till wedding and Im completely finished!!! Yahoooo! Including a nice blocking, wow that tidied it up heaps! Quite happy with the finished job, hope they like it!
