Notes

11.1.12 - Couldn’t wait any longer. I got the needles and cast on!

11.6.12 - Getting the hang of the cable pattern and raglan increases. I highly recommend you use stitch markers to note where your six stitch cable patterns are in each row, otherwise you might get a little thrown off.

The Quince Lark is so soft and squishy. Hopefully I’ll finish the sweater before the cold weather leaves us.

I’m planning on doing the yoke/sleeve adjustment provided over at knitbot.com. I know I’ll need the longer yoke but I don’t know about wider sleeves. I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it, I guess.

11.10.12
One skein knitted! Happy with the progress so far. :)

1.1.13
Realized I had done about 27 rows too many. I blame it on the holidays and the fact that the collar is added on later so the yoke length is deceiving. However, I managed to rip back to a certain point and pick up my stitches again. Onward! (Photo of the before and after is included.)

1.8.13
So glad I did the adjustment provided at website to lengthen the yoke and widen the sleeves. Now to work on the body.

2.26.13
Made great progress since my last update. I’m at about 15” from under the arm but I’m going to thinking two more cable repeats would be smart. I’m tall and prefer a longer sweater anyway. But…I just realized that I made a big mistake many (many) rows back. The cable pattern is messed up in one row. Debating whether or not to rip back. In the meantime, I think I’ll work on the sleeves and decide what to do with the body later.

Late April 2013
Finished the body and sleeves. But ran out of yarn. More should be arriving soon. Then to do the collar.

(To make the sleeves longer---and long enough for my arms---I did 10 cable repeats, then 5 decreasing cable repeats and was left with 40 stitches. Then came 15 rounds of ribbing. Perfect length and tight at the cuff, how I like it.)

And a helpful note: if you do the yoke/sleeve increase mod provided by the designer, make sure you do the sleeve on size up from your body size. I made that mistake and picked up four less stitches than I should have but luckily it should work out right.
