Notes

pattern calls for sizes 2 & 3, but my gauge worked out to size 2 for the main needle size - boy am I glad I was a good girl and made the swatches! :)

using an alternate color chart because I wanted a white sweater that would go with a bit more of her wardrobe… plus she has SOOOOOOOOOO much pink already, she’d be head-to-toe pink if I’m not careful :)

5/3: done with the back, & other than not looking forward to weaving in ends, it’s going pretty well! :)

5/17: done with both fronts & started a sleeve - TOTALLY don’t need 6 skeins of the white (which is kinda lame since I went out and bought more before I started - oh well!). I’ll probably get away with just 3 skeins. I think it’s going to be super-cute, just have to decide on the color ribbon to use - I’ve got bright green, bright pink, and pale blue as options… comment if you think you’d have a preference :)

5/24: Started the 2nd sleeve last night - and realized that I had done the fair isle on the cuff in the green instead of blue for the 1st sleeve, so didn’t quite follow my chart (must have been doing it in the dark), but it doesn’t really matter - still looks cute! At least I didn’t just blindly follow the chart & have non-matching sleeves! I am very excited to finish this!!!

6/9: well, have been on vacation & didn’t take the knitting (request by DH), so not a lot of progress, but I did block it at least :) I was also reading a book that was distracting me, so now that I’ve finished that, maybe I’ll get cracking!

6/22: the interminable end-weaving has begun… UGH! I’ve also knitted the neck and button bands, sewed the shoulders & sleeves - it’s looking much more like a sweater! :) although now that the button bands are on, I noticed some weirdness right along the left side one… I don’t have any idea what I did wrong, but the stitches close to the edge are all wonky. I think it has something to do with the color changes, but I don’t have a clue how to fix it… sigh

6/23: DONE WITH END WEAVING!!! YAY!!! side seams to do tonight, then buttons and ribbon & it will actually be DONE! wow!!! :)

6/27: DONE!! I love it!!! I decided on white buttons so they wouldn’t distract from the fair isle, and I love it! The cuffs of the sleeves are pretty tight, so I think if I made it again, I would try and adjust that. BUT I LOVE IT! :)
