MC=seasmoke (gray) and CC=natural (opposite of what’s shown in the pattern picture)

finished and blocked it’s about 40” square. I never measured my gauge (it’s a blanket!) so no idea why the size is so different - but a squre is easy to use and to model!

9-10-14 - done! I knit a plain row at the end and then bound off purlwise with a size 8 needle. seems to be just right. baby is due tomorrow (although it doesn’t look like he’ll be here then!) and it feels so good to have this finished for his arrival. photos coming soon!

3-20-14 - excited to be knitting this for my first grandchild. and it is a grandchild-worthy knit…linen stitch, even in worsted weight on size 10-1/2 needles goes s l o w! but the baby isn’t due til September and I’m loving the yarn…all is (very very !) good. I am still not through the first border (close though).
