4-27-18 - added photos (sigh, I do miss Katie’s FO shots, but Marc is learning).

4-23-18 - done. finally. it took a few days for the pieces to dry … and a few more for me to find 5+ hours to seam, weave in the ends and sew on the buttons. now giving it a final soak/dry as the pattern suggests and hopefully it will be ready to wear in a few days.

4-16-18 - finished the right front, sewed the shoulders, knit the neckband and weighed …. then proceeded with the 2nd sleeve (no ripping needed!!). I had about 3g left (plus a few generous ends - I should be fine to seam the sleeves and sew on the buttons).

4-11-18 - finished left front. weighed finished front + sleeve and think I might have enough to finish without ripping and re-knitting short sleeves. fingers crossed.

4-8-18 - gauge seems ok. finished back. started left front. mostly worried now about running out of yarn!

3-26-18 - first sleeve-as-swatch is drying … jury out on how my gauge lines up with the pattern.

A note on the yarn - it came from my mother-in-law’s stash. love the sheen that the silk adds to the cotton. but it’s super-splitty (I think there are 11 plies - I actually split it into 3-ply strands to sew on the buttons) and often twisted around itself. also, it bled a lot in the two soaks and some of the skeins appear to have lost more color than others. I don’t think it’s that noticeable once it dries. but overall, not a 5-star yarn!
