Because knitting is the only valuable skill I’ll be leaving college with

-Cast on four sts, purl one row, then inc each st on the second (8) and separate onto dpns

-work two rounds for the lil bulb on top

-k1 yo k1 on each needle and then knit another row

-Alternate between inc on the second st and second to last st on each needle and knitting one row (I fooled around with different incs in the beginning til I settled on one I liked) until desired length (I think I had 35 sts for each side). When I got to about 19 sts on each side I moved to circulars, placing a marker between each two st corner.

-To turn your work for the “lid” portion I did three decreases in a row with the first and third being worked the same as increases and the second worked two decreases before and after each corner (so stop 5 sts before marker, dec, dec, k, slide marker, k, dec, dec)
