First time casting on so many stitches. Had trouble estimating the length of the cast on tail so decided to browse for solutions and found this:

It worked perfectly and now I’m happily knitting on.

Day 2. I’m halfway through. The pattern is easy and simple. However, in spite of that, I miscounted my first set of yarn overs and only did 5 instead of 6 rows so I decided to continue with that number. If I have enough yarn, I will probably do an extra section of yarn overs.

2/16/14
Finished binding off. Will block tomorrow. I’m very happy with this pattern and yarn. I ended up doing four YO K2Tog sections.

Pre-blocked width: 5” wide
Post-blocked width: 8” wide

Blocking really opened up the lace sections. It’s like a flower blooming!

As for the yarn, this is my second project using the Sundara yarn and I am so in love with this brand. The DK merino tended to split but was not a big deal. It was such a pleasure to knit. The color is a blend of blush pink with peachy tones, so pretty! I did not use up all the skein and had a few yards left.
