I only used the proportions in the Kristin Nicholas pattern -- not, obviously, the colorwork. These two mittens are different sizes on purpose, because my niece has a congenital hand problem that means ordinary mittens don’t fit. She talked to my mother the day she opened these and said, “Aunt Jamie made me mittens that fit my left hand perfectly!” Hurray!
