Swatching, swatching! I started with a 6, but I’m too loose, so I’m down to a 5. I really hope that I don’t have to knit another swatch after this; 9 inches might sound extreme, but I want this to work out. I’m making size L (4 inches of positive ease).

On the way to Oregon this weekend, I knit this almost exclusively while listening to Lorde with my little sister, and I’m knitting the body of the sweater now!

Because I was a tad worried about the collar, I went ahead and knitted it last night, and I must say that I’m really, really happy with it.

Looking back on my notes, it really sounds like I watch a lot of TV, and knit to music every day.
I don’t.
But … while watching Avengers 2 last night, I made considerable progress on the body of the sweater, and I’m happy to report that only have a few more inches until I can start the ribbing.

I have officially finished seaming, sewing, and sweating over this project. (Not really sweating; I just needed another “s” word.) Hopefully, I can convince my sister that she needs to take photos of me out in the cold sometime today. :)

I haven’t put the button on yet. I’m going to buy a handmade one from a local woodcrafter, and I’m just going to look at his selection. so I’m quite excited.
