I was hoping to get this done for a Christmas gift, but it didn’t work out with too much going on in my life. I’ll keep working on it and send it along as soon as it’s done.

12/14/11: Two rows down! Not sure it’ll make it in time for a holiday gift, but I’m going to try and finish it anyway.

1/12/12: Pulling this out of the WIP pile and going to get it finished!!

1/14/12: Finished the rows of the main part. Working on the little bits now. Not long until it’s done and thinking it will be headed to the recipient on Tuesday.

1/15/12: Finished sewing almost everything together. Need one more thing from the store, then I can ship it off!

1/16/12: Finished! Mailing off tomorrow.

1/19/12: Jen received the scarf today! I’ll post pictures as soon.

Project notes:

Used acrylic since that seemed to be the only yarn that had the perfect BRIGHT colors for this scarf. I Love This Yarn is surprisingly soft and I would totally use it again in other projects. Many people asked me what the yarn was while I was working on it saying it was really soft and were surprised it was acrylic!

For the sprinkles on the “frosting” I used DMC floss. Thought about doing beads, but this color ended up being perfect for it and I used that instead. Used DMC floss for the mouth, nose, and cheeks as well. The eyes are safety eyes found at Hobby Lobby.
