I love Pansies and I wanted to use them in different ways. Here are some of my ideas.

You can use different weights of threads/yarns, worked with a range of hooks to make pansies of different sizes. You can even make a giant pansy (see back of bag) by using double thread and a large hook (UK size 6).

Pansies were used to decorate my gift boxes.

If you work all the bottom petals in a continuous line and then add the top petals, you can make a Pansy braid. This can be stitched on to garments to give them an extra special look.

Add leaves and buds to make an Autumn bag.

Make the centres stand out by adding padding. See photo tutorial.

Finish the edges of the petals using a matching embroidery thread.
