After doing a Rav search for suitable patterns, I found this one. It looks really interesting and won’t get completely lost in the texture of the yarn. She wants a big afghan, and this one should be HUGE!!!

Oct. 29: This project was worked on sporadically through the summer as the weather would allow in our non-air-conditioned house! An incident with a vacuum cleaner in late August put this project on the far back burner for a few months as I worked up the courage for repairs. I have now completed those repairs and this afghan is now top-priority, as I want it completed by no later than the end of November.

Dec. 1: THE MONSTER IS CAST OFF!!!!
now to go deal with the remainder of the ends
Finished size: 65”x73” (approx. as it’s very loosely knit and can stretch considerably)

According to various forum entries, the last of the ends were done ~Dec. 15th. December was an extremely stressful month for me, so I wasn’t blogging, posting, or otherwise updating as much as I normally do.
