Used just under a skein for two hats. My 3st I-cord ties are maybe 9” each. I may have skipped the last row of decreases at the top of the hat and just gathered up the loose stitches earlier.

The pattern is written in a slightly confusing way. I wasn’t sure how many pattern rows (inc. and dec.) to do. I had to count decreases on a bunch of other people’s hats. I think that I did one less set than called for. I hadn’t been sure if it meant to do the pattern row 8 (made up that number just now) times or do the pattern row and rest row for a total of 8 rows. I think it is to do the pattern row 8 times (16 total rows).
