He had very specific color requirements. This is following a color diagram that he created. I’m using a simple pennant knit/purl design.

5/16:This is going quickly. CO 40 stitches, 4 rows of seed stitch. Then 4 sts in seed at each end with Pennants stitch inside. I am not liking the look of the color changes. Despite the fact that it’s a reversible stitch pattern, I had to designate a WS. On the first row of a new color, I knit all the way across regardless of pattern. That way the color change purl blips are on the “WS”. Otherwise they were scattered on both sides. I wish there was a way to avoid them all together.

One skein did 27 repeats. I’m basing my other yardages off of that. I’m happy with the finished scarf, but this isn’t my ideal choices of colors. One of the photos is one of three (!) color option panels that Lucas made for me. Also, I ran out of Simply Taupe and had to substitute Pale Khaki. I hope it is not that obvious, or looks intentional.
