I forgot I wanted to make some halloween socks, so I’m going to try to barrel through. Didn’t think I’d make the deadline; not only did I make it, but this is a new record for a pair of socks -- 3.5 days!!

Journal

2014-10-26: Cast on 64 stitches using GTCO. Complete first & second cuff, 12 rows 1x1 twisted rib. Split self-striping ball into 2 balls and aligned the starting point. Complete 20 rows in each sock, roughly 4 stripes each to validate alignment between socks.

2014-10-27: Complete both sock legs, 65 rounds each. Colors are off by 1 round so not too bad. Complete heel and heel turn, both socks.

2014-10-28: Complete gussets, both socks. Complete foot section first sock.

2014-10-29: Complete second foot. My stripes are now 2 rounds off. To solve the problem, I am adjusting one round in the final black stripe and 1 round in the toe. Complete toes.

Summary

• One sock’s stripes are a little bigger than the other. Darn!
