This is an understated beauty. I think it will receive few compliments in daily life, but will be among my most-worn sweaters. I love the fit and how the cables came out in this yarn.

My garter stitch row gauge was off from the pattern and I used it to calculate how many rows to do for the bottom hem. By the time I got to the sleeve and neckbands I had entirely forgotten about my differing gauge and did them as written, and I actually like them better. The cowl I turned into a split neck, because I found it had no drape in my 100% wool yarn. It turned out to be my favorite part of the sweater.
