I’m using ww and a size 10 to get the gauge right. Long history of gauge problems for me and not a relfection on the pattern.

I’m doing a seed stitch in place of the garter rows, and added 3 inches on the bottom edge. I only did two dec rows for the waist {I dont’ go ‘in’ much} then did 5 inc rows for the hips at every 4 rows, not 6 as the pattern reads {I go ‘out’ more}. I even did the short rows in the collar. I picked up 65 sts each side and 30 across the pack for the front edge.

10-11-12~ I’m working on the front edging. I’m at about 4 inches.

10-13-12 ~ Got to 6.5 in on the front edging.

10-17-12 ~ Mom got to see the sweater for the first time today and try it on. I’m working on the sleeves but won’t be able to give it to her until next week.

10-21-2012 ~ Finished! all I have left to do is weave in a few ends, have Mom try it on to mark the clasp fitting, and sew it on. Yay! Took 4 skeins.

I had only a little yarn left from the last skein, maybe the outer two wraps. I showed it to my Hubby who said I’ve seen yarn-barfs bigger than that!“ Gotta love Him!

10-24-12! sleeves were a bit too short so I had to un-bind and lengthen them. I fitted the clasp so I just have to sew it on after I wash it.
