CO 41sts

This is going to be baby sized. I’m planning on about 120 squares (10x12) with each square measuring about 3”. After that I’ll add a border in a solid color. I’m starting with purple then working my way back through the rainbow (purple, blue, green, yellow, orange, red).

I’m using scraps for this blanket accumulated from swaps, etsy, knitting friends, and various projects of my own. I’ll list yarns I know the names of here.

To work border I picket up sts all around edge on a 40” cable placing markers at every corner.

Knit 1 round.
K 1, m1L, k to 1 st before marker, m1L, sm; repeat from around.

Repeat these two rounds 4 times total.

Knit 1 round.
Purl 1 round.
Knit 1 round.

K 1, k2tog, k to 2 sts before m, ssk, sm; repeat from around.
Knit one round.

Repeat these two rounds 4 times total.

When binding off, k 1, with RH needle pick up st from original pick up row on WS of blanket, place on LH needle and k2tog with next st, pass first k st over; repeat around.
