Notes

2020-08-23 frogged as I hadn’t worn it in years (perhaps since 2011). It’s now becoming a lichen tunic, knit in garter & stockinette and with Valley Yarns 2/14 Alpaca Silk in 06 Dark Grey carried along.

love the madelinetosh, but merino light wasn’t the smartest choice (loosely spun single ply) but e was buying and the yardage & colour were perfect. i’ll just have to get him to buy me more for my next birthday sweater. :)

project log
2011-10-12, 4:01pm- FINISHED! hope to take better photos at rhinebeck. also: i should clean my closet mirror.
2011-10-05- bought buttons. I think they’ll work.
2011-10-02, 9pm- sleeves set in, need to finish seaming the arms. then p/u for bands and buttons!
2011-10-01, 9pm- with just 3g left of skein the second i finished the sleeves. dipping into the third for the button bands. might i finish this sweater before rhinebeck? only if i can seam it! the sleeves are long, i probably should’ve dropped a needle size for them or fudged the increases a bit better. aah, well i was a mindless sheep and they’ll be nice and long…
2011-09-16- sleeves will be finished if I ever actually knit on them… concerned sleeves will be really loose, but we’ll see. i almost just want it finished and am not caring anymore. Hope I don’t regret that later.
2011-08-26- slogging through the sleeves. Still a bit unsure about length but I think they’ll block okay. Wish I could focus on this project and just finish it!
2011-07-26- right front seamed. happy with it. nervous sleeves will be too loose. debating ripping back what I’ve knitted to date.
2011-07-24- left front seamed.
2011-07-23- fronts finished, sleeves started. blocking to seam and finish body so all i will have to do is sew in sleeves and reblock
2011-06-22- yeah, not working on this much. finished 20 repeats of fronts.
2011-03-15- back finished. 57g. (52g remain of that ball)
2011-03-09- still loving the tosh, still not thrilled with the waist shaping modification i chose, still nervous about longterm wear of this single-ply, still loving the colourway so i’m not sure i give a darn. started armhole shaping. whee!
2011-03-03- not 100% happy with how I executed the waist shaping for the back. really don’t think it will survive tinking or ripping. sigh
2011-02-26, 9:30pm- co for back. actually going to knit this flat. loving the tosh so far.
..
SWOON!; bought pattern at Rhinebeck 2010. purchased lichen madelinetosh merino light at stitches east. think it’ll be beautiful!
