I needed a mindless commuting project. Self striping sock yarn fit my requirements as did heather’s afterthought heel notes/pattern. While I’ve knit lots of socks and most of them toe-up, I’d never knitted an afterthought heel. I’ll take better photos soon. Heather’s instructions are clearly thought out and presented in a way that made it quite easy to knit straight from my tablet screen.
