This is a winter hat because I used wool instead of cotton. Plus, Kentucky is too hot and humid for summer hats.

I found I could get a lot of slouch out of the wool despite what the pattern says. I blocked this hat over a ceramic head (it was all I had), which helped to stretch it out and make it slouchier. If you don’t have a ceramic head, I bet you could use a balloon.
