Made these socks for Matt for Christmas using yarn and a pattern I picked up during the 2013 Bendigo Sheep and Wool show weekend.

I’m really pleased with the pattern/yarn pairing, as the toothy yarn seems to work really well with the relatively plain ribbing.

The only modification I made to the pattern was to pick up more stitches along the heel flap and did a couple more decrease rounds to account for the extra stitches.

The yarn, sadly, seems to have a rather strong reaction to water. They stunk to high heaven when I wet blocked them, to the point where I’m somewhat concerned about how they’ll go with their second wash.
