These were a dream to make - the herringbone pattern (which is handsome but not very herringbone-y) was very easy to remember and even the foot flew by.

The only down side to them is that they’re a bit gappy. The herringbone pattern is a bit gappy around Matt’s skinny legs, as are the decreases at the heel and toe. It’s possible, nay probable, that it’s a combination of the pattern, yarn and my technique but Matt seems happy with them so I shall not fret.

Notes to self:

30 rows of ribbing for the cuff, size 2.25 needles

10 repeats for the cuff, size 2.5 needles

after knitting the heel flap, knit foot with 2.25 needles
