11/24/10: CO for these tonight, 60 sts. That’s too many, went down to 56, then 52. Knit several rows in 2x2 ribbing and then started diamond cable pattern. Didn’t like how it was coming out. Frogged.
- Started new pair, CO 48 sts. This is perfect for what Justin’s wanting. Stretches the 2x2 ribbing, but cuff won’t fall down. Nixed the cables in this pattern, just simple ribbing all the way to the end of the wrist. Reason? I can finish this design much quicker than designing a cable glove - Justin needs the gloves sooner rather than later. Will do the other pair after Christmas probably.

1/30/11: Finally got back to these. Because I’m writing the pattern and I wasn’t sure where I was going from where I was at, I frogged and started over. Cast on 4 extra stitches. Reworking decreases for a different effect.

1/31/11: Got through the decreases - just need to continue the current stitch pattern to Justin’s wrist, then I can start the hand/palm portion.

2/3/11: I’ve finally moved past the cuff into the palm. Simple St. st for the hand/palm portion. I’ve finished the thumb gusset and am currently working on the fingers. I’ve made gloves before but this is my first time working from scratch on the math.

2/4/11: First glove finished!! :)

2/6/11: Started 2nd glove. Hopefully as I read through my own instructions, I can modify any mistakes and/or make adjustments. Finished first small portion of cuff.

2/7/11: Reading my written pattern the second time through makes these go SO much faster! I’m already on the fingers of the 2nd glove. As I’m knitting, I’m keeping track of the changes I would make if I were to write up and offer this as a free pattern.

2/13/11: Washing & blocking gloves tonight. All done. New pictures soon.
