This dress worked up pretty quickly and the yoke wasn’t too difficult. Finished crocheting the whole thing in about a week. I made it in the smallest size but it was really loose on top so I had to sew the armholes a bit to help it stay on. That didn’t help too much so I had to gather the collar at the shoulders (about 3-4 inches worth!) and I didn’t have anymore problems. It doesn’t really make sense because the dress itself was a fairly tight fit but the top was HUGE. If I were to make this dress again, I’d leave out the collar and start with fewer chains at the beginning. Anyway, after I finished crocheting the dress, I routed some christmas lights through the wrong side and tied each light down on the inside. It took a while but it worked. I used 2 sets of battery operated led’s and the battery/control just hung from the top and ended right before the dress did. It actually wasn’t as uncomfortable as I thought it would be. Next I sewed some gold garland around the hem of the dress and draped/tied red garland across the front. Last, I tied some ornaments to the front of the dress. It was a hit at the party!
