Part 2 of my Three Graces shawls by Kirsten Kapur

Aglaea is a top down semi-circle shawl - starting with center garter tab - with a pattern of lace and cables. It is not a difficult knit, comes with written instructions as well as charts. I prefer working from charts and marked off each row as I progressed.

There are only 9 rows of cabling which is very do-able if you find knitting cables a little off putting.

The pattern is well written and I encountered no difficulty following instructions. I had hoped to use only 1 skein of Madelinetosh Merino Light, but that was not to be. I started my second skein with 10 long rows of knitting (+bind-off) to go. I used 22 grams of the second skein.

The blocked shawl measures 53 inches wide along the top edge and 25 inches through the center (at it’s widest point). It’s a really functional medium size shawl.
