Undyed, lightly spun, single ply grey wool (perhaps equivalent to Cascade Pastaza?). I used the pattern more as a “guide”…ie. I screwed up constantly! Also I knit the sweater completely in the round, with a central steek for the zipper. Check my blog for more details…

I added garter bands, started the zigzags later down the sleeves (request from my son), and added a lining. There’s a crocheted loop in the neck for hanging it up. And added my son’s name in little beads at the bottom…
