Notes

I’m making these out of lot of scrap sock yarn.

First of all, I tried using the indicated yarn, but could not get the yarn through the beads. I used fingering weight and it worked better.

I also made the necklaces shorter (13 “one bead” placements on each side instead of 20) so that it can be worn with more necklines.

One trick on loading up the beads is to put a couple of inches of beads on the yarn, then measure how many beads are in one inch. For me it was about 8.5 to 9 beads. Divide how many beads you need by that number, and you’ll know how many inches of beads to load.

I’ve knitted up three of these, and I think Ill make some more for Christmas gifts!
