Heel: doing a heel flap instead of a short row heel. It 27 stitches for heel as in pattern, 20 rows of stockinette, slip stitching the 1 st stitches.

Heel turn: s1, k15, ssk, k1, turn.
S1, p6, p2tog, p1, turn, etc.

Decreases for foot down to 29 sts. Total of 58 sts for the foot.

3/8/2013 - cranking on the sock, and realized that I might be a. making it too long, and b. would run out of handspun.

3/9/2013 - ripped back the toe, and ripped 4 rounds out and will start toe again.

Ending with Row 6 before the start of the toe.

Later on 3/9/2013 - yay - after blocking, sock fits (ok, it’s wet, but I think we’re good), and used 53 grams of yarn, with 56 grams of yarn left. Should be ok for sock #2.

3/13/2013 - finished knitting - and they came out great - can’t wait to show photos!

3/14/2013 - they are blocked, and fit, woo-hoo!
